A woman from Leicestershire who was hit by a car in 1992 was awarded £2 million in compensation.

 

Beverley Buckley from Hinkley suffered such extensive head injuries in the crash that she now needs round the clock care and cannot look after her own affairs. She can only communicate via an electronic aid and lost the use of her limbs in the accident too.

 

Now living at the residential home White Rose Centre in Hucknall, Nottinghamshire the settlement will be enough to fund her future living costs and care. 

 

It was her mother Sylvia Balding who took charge of managing the claim, acting as a “litigation friend” to sue the other driver. Both mother and daughter were pleased a settlement was reached.
