Compensation for Cyclist
8th July 2009
A 48 year old man from Swindon was cycling home one day from a friend’s house when he was hit by a car from behind. Graham Gregory from Blunsdon near Swindon lost the use of all his limbs and had to spend two years at the National Spinal Injuries Centre at Stoke Mandeville Hospital. He was released from hospital in February 2008 and now lives in a specially designed bungalow with round the clock care.
Before the accident he held several jobs including working at a motorway service station and erecting fairground rides. The value of the compensation he received was in the region of £4million to cover loss of earnings, pain and suffering and round the clock care for the rest of his life.
